It looks like the Three Kings helped bring us our belated #SisterSaturday message for you!
Meet Sister M. Denise!
Sister was born and raised in Frederickstown, MO and first felt the call to a Religious vocation in grade school. Sister had quite an adventure in search of God’s will for her. She even wrote to Padre Pio (now declared a Saint) who told her to follow the advice of her Confessor. That is how she eventually became a nurse. Sister has served God with all her heart and devoted her life to Him in 1960 as a Sister of Charity. She has touched countless lives as a Sister nurse and continues to live by the words of her favorite Scripture verse to this day, “…you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength [… and] your neighbor as yourself.” (Mark 12:30-31)
Sister encourages each of you to love God above all things, to ask the Blessed Mother and Jesus to work with you and pray with you. Also, to do everything you do with Jesus and Mary.

As Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church we embrace our two-fold mission of sanctity and service. In a spirit of simplicity we aspire to live a life rooted in the Gospel, in imitation of Mary and expressed by prayer, charity, self sacrifice and loving obedience. We devote ourselves to the works of charity, and as true daughters in the heart of the Church, we serve others through the apostolates of education, caring for the sick, the aging and the poor, wherever there is a need.
