Mass Enrollment

You and I believe that both the living and the deceased spiritually benefit from our prayers for them. For one year, the person you enroll, whether celebrating their birthday, struggling to cope with an illness or painful difficulty, or for the soul of a deceased loved one, will be remembered and prayed for by our Sisters during three Masses each month in our Motherhouse Chapel.

Besides other people living or deceased that you can enroll in these monthly Masses, you may wish to enroll yourself, your children, grandchildren or other loved ones, with the promise of a holy remembrance in our prayers throughout the year ahead.

Use the form provided to tell us the names of those you are enrolling in these three Monthly Masses for one year and be sure to include any special intentions or personal needs you’d like the Sisters to remember.

Mother David (l.), Sister Mary Jane and all the Sisters are praying that you and your loved ones will know God’s strength and peace.

How do you view things in life? Do you see the glass as half empty or half full? Because of the strength of our belief in Jesus Christ, you and I have the opportunity to look ahead and see wonderful things. Our compassionate, loving God gives us reasons every day to count our blessings and look forward with faith, trust and confidence.

I find great wisdom in this story. I hope you will, too.

Once there was a king who gave an assignment to two of his most trustworthy servants. To the first the king said, “I want you to travel for six months throughout my kingdom and bring me a sample of every weed you can find.” To the second servant the king said, “I want you to travel throughout my kingdom for six months and bring me a sample of every flower you find that grows here.”

The Sisters pray daily for you and your loved ones so that you will discover and experience the beauty and strength of God’s flowers, God’s many gifts in your lives.

Six months later both servants stood before the king. The king asked the first, “Have you carried out my command?” He answered, “Yes, your majesty, I have, and I was amazed to find that there are so many weeds in the kingdom. In fact, there is nothing but weeds in your kingdom!” To the king’s question the second servant answered, “Yes, your majesty, I have, and I am amazed at how many beautiful flowers there are in your kingdom. In fact, there is nothing but beautiful flowers.”

You see, both servants in this story found what they were looking for. And so do we! I hope and pray that each and every day you will look for and find nothing but inspiring, beautiful flowers in your life!

You and I also have daily opportunities to help others discover and experience the beauty and strength of God’s flowers, God’s many gifts in their lives. When loved ones or friends are dealing with declining health, unbearable grief, the loss of employment, debilitating financial difficulties or heartbreaking problems in their families, we can reach out, offering them hope, healing and renewed trust in God’s goodness and love.

Amidst the pain and the weeds in our own lives, every day offers you and me opportunities to remember how much God has given us in sending His Son, Jesus Christ, who knows us and loves us unconditionally. Realizing God’s abundant goodness, how can we not “see the glass as half full”? Better yet, let us strive to be like the servant who journeyed throughout the kingdom and could see nothing but beautiful flowers.

The Sisters and I pray that you and your loved ones will know God’s strength and peace, that joy in the Lord will overcome all the weeds and every disappointment in your lives. When our hearts are filled with God’s joy and our spirits soar with God’s love, may He help us to see nothing but beautiful flowers in the wonderful world He has created for us!

Gratefully, in Mary, Mother of the Church, Mother Marie Julie, SCMC Superior General
