Saint Joseph the Worker

Patron Saint of Workers: Those seeking Employment have recourse to Saint Joseph Feast Day: May 1

Welcome to the Saint Joseph the Worker Chapel. Throughout the world candles are lit seeking the intercession of the saints for many reasons. Today, we turn to Saint Joseph the Worker seeking his intercession for Workers and for all those intentions you hold in your heart.

While you are here you might take time to pray for others as well. The candles below represent the most recent intentions submitted for prayer. We have included a prayer in honor of Saint Joseph the Worker that may be used, or you may simply pray from you heart. God has given us this beautiful gift of prayer; what better way to say thank you to Him than to offer it back to Him for others.

Dear St. Joseph, patron of workers and those seeking employment, you understand the need for meaningful labor, for a just wage. As you spent yourself for your Son Jesus and for His Mother Mary, they felt your secure protection. Now I ask that you would assist (share who you are praying for) as they seek a peaceful workplace, or search for their place in the workforce. Grant that those who work in dangerous jobs, and those who feel trapped in an environment that diminishes their self worth, may be led to respectful positions that will enhance their dignity, support their families, and bring peace and security to those they love. Through your intercession, dear St. Joseph, we ask all this in the Name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord, Amen.
