10th National Eucharistic Congress

This Friday, a traditional day of Penance and remembrance of Jesus’ Passion, was filled with joy and hope, inspired by the generosity of our Eucharistic Lord, ever present with us to lighten, enlighten, to heal and strengthen each of us wounded souls, and He is ever waiting for our return of love and trust.

Father Boniface Hicks, O.S.B. led 50,000 of us participants in a litany of love, as he  prayed aloud and carried the healing Jesus throughout the floor of Lucas Oil Stadium We were asked to open our hearts to the Bridegroom:  I, we, each of us, can allow Jesus – the Trinity of self-giving Love – by opening my heart to Him – allowing Him to enter with His transforming fire and redeem my past, present, and future – changing pain to glory by turning it over to His most Merciful, Sacred Heart.

Sister Josephine Garrett had earlier inspired us to repent, rejoice, and respond to the Bridegroom by going out from this marvelous Congress on mission, sharing with every soul the message of our need of the love of the Eucharistic Jesus, and His all-consuming desire to share it with us.  All we need to do is ask, watch, wait, pray. Can we do that?

“Father, not my will, but thine be done.”
